Chapter 33
He took another, longer gulp, allowing the coffee to burn his throat. Something else troubled him.
“Where’s my car?” he asked. “It’s not outside, where I parked it.”
“What car?” asked Malcolm.
“My car. The one I came here in.”
Malcolm laughed.
“Edmund, you’ve always been here.”
I’d written this short piece to be the final surprise or mystery at the end of the epilogue, but decided not to use it. What do you think?
