17. I looked in the mirror: my face was not exactly as piece of beauty, the eyes being asymmetric, the nose slightly crooked. How strange, though, it was to suddenly have a face.
18. The doctors told the amputee he might experience a phantom limb from time to time. Nobody prepared him for the moments though, when he felt cold fingers brush across his phantom hand.
