Chapter 17

I was standing outside the door when the maid opened the door and asked me to get inside. When I entered I asked the maid “Where is Dennis??”

She replied in low voice pointing towards upward “He is in his room, upstairs.”

I went to his room and saw he is lying in his bed. His eyes were small as he had not slept last night, looked tired and lost in some thoughts. I touched his back “Dennis what happened? Are you okay?”

“Hey Kelly” By saying this he hugged me and than kissed me in my lips. His hands were around my cheek, we were close to each other. When he was kissing my hands were in his back pushing him towards me. My nervousness was gone, I forgot everything. The kiss was passionate as he was missing that. Than I slowly stopped and came away from him. It was a bit awkward as he kissed so suddenly I couldn’t even realise what was happening but after everything happened I kept aside the awkward feeling decided to do the work for what I came for.

“Dennis what happened you didn’t came to school? I was tensed. Is everything okay?” I asked hoping for a positive answer.

“No Kelly its not. Everything is not okay.” He replied keeping his head on his hand moving downward.

My heartbeats were fast. What I thought that had happened. I was late. Janette killed Mr. Carter and I couldn’t do anything. Literally my eyes starts crying. I was in a shock. When Dennis saw me – “What happened Kelly?”

“I’m too late to inform you. Everything happened because of me, I should have told you. Its too late now.” I started crying fast.

“What you should have told me? What happened Kelly?” Dennis asked taking my face towards him.

“Mr. Carter died because of me. I should have told you everything.” I replied crying.

“What are you talking about?” He replied surprisingly.
