Chapter 24

I reached his place. He was outside the gate as I messaged him 5 minutes ago before reaching. His face was bit cheerful. I think he has overcome his pain. We were just walking in the outside for a while, without talking. With a hesitation he brought his hand towards mine and touched it but didn’t hold. He is doing it repeatedly so without any second thought I hold his hand tightly and smiled. Than he smiled too. “Umm so whats the matter?” He asked looking towards me and winked.

“What? Nothing.” I replied quickly with confused look.

“Come, sit here and now tell me what is the matter which is bothering you so much that till now you didn’t even ask me How am I”. We sat on the bench holding each others hand. He was sure that something was bothering me but I was thinking should I tell him or again I should lie. Than I decided to tell him everything, after that let him think anything about me. So with a courage I just began his name was called “DENNIS”. It was his mom she was calling us for the lunch. So we went inside and the table was ready but still I insist to help in serving. We were done in an hour with our lunch and went on to Dennis room.

“So how was the lunch?” He asked with a smile in his face.

“It was yummy. I loved it” I replied.

“Why it wouldn’t be? I made it, they have just served it” He replied.

“Oh really. Wow, I didn’t knew you also cook so well. Impressed”

“Don’t be. I’m just kidding, I’m not so much expert in everything except in …” He replied and winked.

“What?” I replied and made faces.

“I was talking about eating. I’m expert in eating. What you thought ha? Dirty mind” He replied and smiled. I was literally blushing. It was so awkward situation and in this way cracking jokes on each other we spend almost 3 hours together. When I’m with him the time runs so fast, I feel like if it just stops and I can be with him for some more time. He insisted me to stay till dinner but it was late and as I didn’t inform anyone it can affect me afterwards. I couldn’t tell him the truth but in my mind I have decided to tell him. So he dropped me in my place and went off. I pushed the bell, Dad has opened the door. Without looking into his eyes I stepped inside and headed towards my room from back he called “KELLY”. I stopped and turned

“What happen Dad?” I asked.

“Where you have been for so long?” He asked. He was angry as it was late.

“I was with Dennis. He lost his father and was feeling lonely so I was with him to accompany him” I replied.

“But for” he can continue I cut him in the middle and said “Ya ya I know it is late but I didn’t realize the time so, and I didn’t even wanted to come. I too feel lonely, there is no one not even my mom with whom I can share my feelings and also I feel good when I’m with Dennis so” I replied. I was annoyed with his questions.

“Why you feel lonely? Your mom is not there but there is Nany, you can share anything with her. Don’t be alone, I’m not saying you to stay alone.” He replied.

“Sorry but I don’t feel Nany like my mom” I replied and went to my room. Shut the door and lay down in the bed. I didn’t even wait for his reply. How could he compare my mom with that lady. He can’t do that to me, I was crying. Than after few minutes I saw a diary in the corner table, which I have never seen before in this room. I sat on the bed and took the diary. I opened it to see to whom the diary belongs and there its written “Janette Bell “. I was surprised.
