Chapter 3 – Chap 3

Hey guys, it’s Crow, your favorite drug addict exorcist here to continue my story from the last post.

Now if you haven’t read my previous posts you really should. The first post gives you some action which isn’t too rare in my line of work but isn’t the biggest aspect. The second post leads you up to what I’m about to tell you now. Chapter Two

Now once again I’m not an author, I’m a highschool drop out, so forgive my grammar.

I woke up face down on my desk with the opened box behind me on the bed. I must have fallen asleep in the middle of my inspection.

I realized how badly I needed a haircut when my hair was falling into my mouth. I decided I was going to get my hair cut today. So I called, made and appointment, and proceeded to realize I had two hours to kill. I decided what better way to start my day then smoking some more of that DMT Emrick had given me.

I sat in my office after drinking a cup of dark roast coffee and meditated for an hour to ensure I was in the best mental state I could be.

I packed my bong, took a deep, rhythmic breath, and took the first hit. When I did I heard the sound, like sloshing sludge in my head.

I took the second hit, and reality started falling apart around me. My walls started drifting further and further away, my ceiling starting crumbling apart, and darkness was enveloping me.

As I was losing control I took the last hit. Held it in, and closed my eyes. When I released the smoke it felt like a thousands pounds just floated out of my chest, and I began floating.

I kept my eyes closed but looked around. Figures started taking shape. Some were dancing, some were drinking, and some were just watching me.

Now these fifth dimensional beings weren’t staying one specific shape. They were constantly changing and evolving into geometric patterns and shapes made out of love, understanding, and compassion.

Benevolent beings were surrounding me and talking to me. The things they were saying I usually could never remember, but today I could. They were telling me that it was going to be okay. That I just needed to slow down and learn to question myself before I act, and even if I made a mistake it was okay because all of this repeats itself.

Reality wasn’t, and that was a fact I was very familiar with, but everytime I entered this different world that fact astounded me. The emotions I felt were intense, and that’s when I saw him.

Elijah, the drunk angel that I let the night before. He was standing in the corner of this psychedelic bar I was in just watching me. When he noticed I saw him he simply exploded into fractals and ribbons of beautifully colored lights and beams.

For a moment I questioned if my distaste for him was merited. However, I didn’t have much time because in that instant I was back.

I opened my eyes to see my apartment. It was messy, books thrown about, clothes in the floor, dishes piling up in the sink. Yup. This was definitely my apartment.

I stood up and checked the time. I had fourty five minutes until my appointment to get my haircut. I changed clothes. Putting on a black tank top, some old jeans, and my boots. Not forgetting to have my watch on me.

I strapped one of my revolvers to my waist and checked to make sure I had enough of my special rounds to take with me. The bullets I used in my guns were special. Hollow points made of gold, with little crosses etched into the tips. The hollow points were filled with a mixture of holy water, juice from garlic cloves, birch wood slivers, and a single drop of a holy mans blood.

What do they do? Well everything in the shells have a reason. I wont explain everything, but let’s say each spirit and demon have their own weakness, and in the shells are the most common weaknesses among the spirit world.

Who made them? Well at first I was making solid gold shells. Until I met an older man who had been doing this far longer than me. He decided an even trade would be he would help make my supplies if I would do some of his work for him. I jumped on that offer. Ever since I haven’t needed to use traditional methods to kill a demon.

A lot of you might be thinking “Aren’t the traditional methods the only ones that work?” no. That’s not the case.

See magick, just like video games, and music. It evolved. Modern methods of magick are just as powerful. See back in the day you needed to have the planets align and an eclipse to give you power. Now most exorcists power comes from their own beliefs.

Magick is largely based on the power of belief, and while I will tell you to question everything, there’s some things you need to realize we will never understand, but I’m off on a tangent. Back to the story.

I got in my car and began driving. The place I was going to was a half hour drive away which would give me about 10 minutes to dick around in the lobby.

I lit a cigar and rolled down my window as to not trap the smoke in my car. I kept thinking about what the beings were telling me.

I need to learn to question myself. Is that the lesson the angel was going to teach me? I had no clue, but I wasn’t looking forward to finding out.

Another thing that bothered me was I couldn’t feel his energy when he was there. I felt nothing. Now sometimes when an exorcist uses a psychedelic it can have an afterglow that fucks with their perception of the fourth and fifth dimensions.

That’s what I assumed was happening to me. I couldn’t even feel humans energy after that. I felt normal for once. Was this what it was like to be an everyday person? Not feeling when a spirit or demon is in the room with you.

The ride to my barber was long and tiring. I still felt lingering effects of the DMT. Everything looked like it was put in front of a magnifying glass which made me drive a little slower.

By the time I got there I was 2 minutes late and almost lost my spot. However, I walked in and Howard greeted me.

“Alex! Good to see you youngin’ how ya been?” He asked his white hair looking a little more grey than white today.

“Oh you know me Howard. Can never complain” I replied sitting in my chair.

“Did you hear about that woman who got busted dealing coke last night?” He asked while he trimmed the back of my head.

“Yeah, it’s a little crazy to think that that stuff is so close to home” I leaned my head forward and closed my eyes.

“That woman came in here a few times to get her hair cut because I’d cut her a good deal. If I had known she was a coke head I would have had her give me an eight ball for a trim” he let out a hefty laugh and I couldn’t help it. I laughed with him.

The thought of a 68 year old man who’s more crippled up than Stephen Haeking doing coke was good image to have in my head.

He started trimming my bangs and told me to turn my head. When I did I looked out the glass doors and almost shot up put of my chair because on the sidewalk across the street stood Elijah.

He waved at me before the 3 o’clock bus pulled up. By the time it pulled away he was gone. Why was he staying so close to me?

Howard trimmed the otherside of my bangs and I was set. I layed a twenty on the counter, and got a 5 for change. Howard always cut me a good deal.

I stepped out and lit another cigar. I checked my watch. It was 3:27 pm. I had just enough time to make it to the bar and have a drink before I had to start my watch on the town.

I still couldn’t feel people’s energy. The afterglow of the DMT was still in effect I suppose. I was wondering how I’d detect anything going on around me without my sixth sense.

The bar was an hour drive away, and I was looking forward to a whisky sour. I got in my car, and started toward the bar. Glancing out my window I’d notice him. Watching me.

I made it to the bar and approached the counter.

“Hey, Crow, what can I get you?” The bartender said with a smile.

“Whisky sour hold the egg” I replied as I sat down.

The bartender got to making my drink while I thought about my two recent trips. The first one was terrifying. A part of my mind knew that somewhere out in space that creature exists.

The second however was a very different experience. It was welcoming, loving. It was everything I had known psychedelics to be. I questioned why I had that bad trip. What was it trying to tell me?

I spent a couple hours at that bar. Enjoying drinks, eating some food. My phone started buzzing in my pocket and my gut told me I wasn’t going to enjoy the text.

It was from Coco. She was sending me short but very explanatory texts.

“Hey Alex”

“Hey Coco”

“I just passed the Hudsons place”

“And?”

“Saw something out back. Couldn’t tell what because I can’t stop. Figured you should check it out”

“Be right there”

I sighed and finished off my drink realizing when I stood up how tipsy I was. Am I good to drive? What am I saying I’ve driven home on acid before.

I drove out to the Hudson’s pawnshop. Above the pawnshop was Mason Hudson’s apartment. The sun was going down and the shop was closed. I could see lights on in his apartment and people moving around.

I checked the time. 7:06 pm. The sun had gone down so visibility was piss poor, and I was already a little drunk so I wasn’t in the mood to screw around.

I got out of the car and went behind the building. The treeline wasn’t too far from the building, and I still couldn’t feel anythings energy, so I was going In blind.

I heard something jostling in the trees and drew my gun, stepping into the treeline. I peered around trying locate the sound, but it was bouncing off every tree so it was hard to detect. God I wish I had my sixth sense right now.

I stepped a little further when I heard the jostling again, and suddenly a very large figure began running in my direction. I didn’t hesitate. I took aim for center mass and fired three shots. The figure dropped to its knees, then to the ground. I couldn’t help but think to myself “Damn, that went down easy”.

When the body didn’t turn to ash and blow away I started worrying. I ran toward it putting my gun away. When I got to the body my worst concern was confirmed. It wasn’t a demon. I just shot a human man in the chest, and now he was dead. The only thought in my head now was “Oh.. fuck”.

I hate to leave you here, but I have to go perform an exorcism on some rich college girl. I ensure you I will be back to finish this story, but until then. Stay safe out there everyone.
