Now enjoy! 5k+ words! As a new gift! So better gift me your comments!

The next morning

Kim entered the house; it was 9 AM. Jin, who was in the living room, smirked at his furious steps. “The teaser worked!” He mumbled, sipping his coffee and smirking.

Kim went to his room, took the drink on his side table, and drank. “BTS… I am going to destroy you!” He said, gritting his teeth. He took his phone and called someone, yelling commands.

He was frustrated, angry. His big business had just burned down in a single day with no traces of who did it. No videos. No victims. No one. Only BTS was there. They only knew BTS did that. Not their name. Not their identity, anything.

Meanwhile, Jungkook woke up at 5; he was feeling a little good. The headache was slight, not much. He just woke up by himself, no nightmares today. He was in his casuals, lying on the bed and scrolling nonstop.

He heard the door knock; it was Tae. He entered the room with a smile. “Feeling good, bun?” Tae asked. Jungkook nodded, “Good! Umm… What’s the plan for today?” Tae asked. “Nothing… Just explore, play games, and scroll,” Jungkook said. He sounded normal, no sadness or silence. He was just himself.

“Hmm… Okay then… Today I’ll come at 9 tonight, let’s watch a movie, hmm?” Tae asked, smiling. Jungkook nodded, smiling a real smile. He didn’t feel pressured. He felt normal.

“Okay, now let’s go and eat breakfast, or our hyung will be blah blah blah,” Tae said, his voice filled with warmth. Jungkook chuckled and nodded. They both went downstairs.

Jin saw them and smiled, “Feeling good, bun?” Jin asked. Jungkook gave a nod and said, “I am all fine, hyung! I was just a little tired last night!” He mumbled the last sentence.

Jin shook his head at his brother’s nonstop lies. Their morning was cozy, warm, and peaceful.

Time skips

It was 3 in the noon. Jungkook, after playing games at the game center, entered the house, only to find it silent. There was no maid, no sound, which was strange. He went to the kitchen, drank some water, and went to his room.

He saw the doorknob already turned. He frowned and opened the door. There he saw Kim, sitting on his bed with scissors, cutting something. There were a lot of paper cutouts on the bed. It wasn’t paper, but something else.

“Ohhh, my beloved son came after enjoying the outdoors!” Kim said, giving him a smile. It wasn’t real or lovely, but scary and fake. Jungkook gritted his teeth in anger, “What are you doing in my room?? And what are thes—–” he stopped, his breath hitched.

What his father cut was his memories. His favorite memories. With Eunwoo, Suho, his noona, and his eomma. It was his photos with them. Kim was almost done with everything. Jungkook quickly took the scissors from his hand. “What the hell are you doing?” Jungkook shouted at Kim. “Ohhh wow, my son! I should be asking you that!” Kim said, sarcastically.

Jungkook’s eyes glistened as he stared at the photographs. Ruined. Torn. Destroyed.

His lips trembled. A tear slipped down his cheek. “So…” Kim spoke slowly, his voice tight and sharp, “You still miss them? You still think about them… right?” Jungkook didn’t answer. Kept staring at the torn pictures with tears.

“I asked you something, you little!” Kim suddenly screamed. He shoved Jungkook hard. Jungkook slammed into the wall with a dull thud. “Ahhhh” he whimpered, pain shooting through his side.

Kim walked closer. Too close. His hand shot up, gripping Jungkook’s throat, fingers tightening. “You still look for them?” Kim whispered dangerously. “You still miss them, huh?” Jungkook said nothing, He turned his face away, tears spilling freely now. “I FUCKING ASKED YOU SOMETHING, YOU BASTARD!” Kim roared. And Slap! The sound echoed.

Jungkook stumbled, barely keeping himself upright. His fists clenched. Something inside him snapped.

“Yeah!” Jungkook screamed, voice breaking. “I miss them! I really fucking miss them!” he siad looking at Kim with blood shot tears filled eyes. Kim froze.

Jungkook’s chest heaved as tears streamed down his face. “What are you gonna do now?” Jungkook shouted. “Kill Eunwoo? Kill noona?”
“Or do you wanna kill me too?” His voice cracked. “I fucking hate you, Kim! I FUCKING HATE YOU KIM!!!” Jungkook shouted at Kim.

Another slap echoed. Harder. Louder. “DON’T FUCKING SHOUT AT ME!” Kim yelled. That was it. Jungkook lost control.

The very next second, He punched Kim. “I HATE YOU!” Jungkook screamed, sobbing. “I FUCKING HATE YOU!” His words came out messy, broken. “You’re a monster!, You took everything from me!” Tears blurred his vision.

“And even now-you still want to control me! What the fuck did I ever do to you?! I hate you Kim!” His voice cracked completely.

“Why can’t you just….. JUST LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE?!” Jungkook broke down, crying, Not loud. Not weak. Just shattered.

Kim gritted his teeth, his jaw tightening as he stared at Jungkook with furious eyes.

“You dared to tell me that I fucking took everything from you, Kook?” Kim snarled. “You fucking ruined everything.”he shouted and he grabbed Jungkook and slammed him against the wall, his hand closing around Jungkook’s neck.

“My life became this because of you!” Kim screamed, “From the day you were born, everything was taken away from me! And fucking disobeyed me!!”

Jungkook coughed, his fingers clutching Kim’s wrist weakly. Tears spilled uncontrollably. His lips were already bleeding from the earlier slap.

“Yeah…” Jungkook gasped, voice shaking but firm. “I disobeyed you.” Kim’s grip tightened. “What are you gonna do?” Jungkook continued, forcing the words out. “Beat me until I faint?, beat me until I die?”

He looked straight into Kim’s eyes. “You already took everything from me, Kim.” For a second, just a second, Kim froze. Those eyes. The same eyes.

“You say I took everything from you?” Kim roared. “YOU took everything from ME!” another hard slap. The sound echoed.

Jungkook whimpered, clutching his cheek as pain exploded in his head. His vision blurred, his headache worsening, his body trembling. Kim scanned the room, breathing heavy.

Then he turned away. “You won’t forget this,” Kim said coldly.
“Not until you die.” He walked out. Jungkook stayed where he was. Eyes burning Head pounding. Heart shattering.

Downstairs, Kim stormed into the storeroom. He grabbed an iron rod. His teeth clenched as he moved to the kitchen, turning on the stove full flame. The rod rested over the fire. Slowly heating.

Kim’s eyes burned with pure rage.
Uncontrolled and Violent. Upstairs, Jungkook stood alone. No tears fell anymore. He stared at the broken photo frames scattered on the floor.

First, his father took his childhood. Then Kim took his family. Turned him into a killer. Traumatized him.

All he wanted was to look at their pictures. To smile for just a moment. But even that… wasn’t allowed.

I’m a curse, Jungkook thought bitterly. An unlucky, pathetic kid.

And maybe Kim was right. No one came to comfort him No one came to protect him. He was alone. Again. He was unlucky.

The door slammed open. Jungkook flinched. Kim stood there. In his hand, the iron rod. Not too long. But wide and heavy. The tip glowed orange. Jungkook’s breath hitched seeing what was coming.

“You know what?” Kim said, his voice trembling with bitter hurt. “I hate myself for accepting you into my life.” Jungkook froze. “I shouldn’t have let you be born. I shouldn’t have endured that pain. I shouldn’t have fought for you.” Each word cut deeper than the last. Kim stepped closer.

Jungkook’s heartbeat spiraled out of control. Cold sweat soaked his skin.
His breaths turned shallow, uneven. Kim took another step. Jungkook’s back hit the wall. There was no space. No escape. And again, he was alone. All alone.

“You hate scars on your body, don’t you?” Kim asked quietly. That quiet was terrifying. His bloodshot eyes locked onto Jungkook. Jungkook’s entire body shook. Kim grabbed Jungkook’s right wrist harshly, pulling him forward.

“No, no, please…” Jungkook begged, his voice breaking. “Please… no…” Fear swallowed him whole, he tried to pull away but Kim was stronger.

“By the way, Kook,” Kim said coldly,
“That day I asked if your brothers knew about you…” Jungkook’s breathing hitched.

“You told me they didn’t, You lied to me.” Kim’s voice rose sharply.

“They fucking knew everything, Everything.” Jungkook shook his head desperately. Kim brought the heated rod closer. “Now I want you to show them this! Show how pathetic you are! You will never ever try to even lie to me!”

The iron rod touched the petal pink palm. Jungkook screamed.

“Ahhhhhh ahhh please….ahhh hngggg ahhh!”. His cries echoed, raw and helpless. The pain was unbearable.

“Tell me,” Kim demanded, his voice shaking with rage, “Will you ever disobey me again? Will you ever lie to me again?”

“PLEASEEEE!” Jungkook screamed in pain. Raw pain. The pain that was unbearable. “It hurts….. please…. ahhh please!” His body trembled violently as he tried to pull away. But it was a bad decision. The iron rod moved, it was on his wrist now. Jungkook only whimpered more.

His breathing turned frantic, heavy and shallow. Tears streamed endlessly. “I’m sorry!” Jungkook cried.
“I’m sorry, please… No pleaseee!” He looked up at Kim, eyes wide, desperate, broken, hurt. “Appa… please… it hurts…” Jungkook whispered weakly, crying.

That word, Kim froze. His grip faltered. It had been years. So many years. Before Kim could react…. “JUNGKOOK!” A voice echoed.

A force slammed into Kim, throwing him back. The rod hit the floor with a loud clatter. It was Hyunwoo. He rushed forward instantly, pulling Jungkook into his arms. A tight, protective hug.

“I’m here,” Hyunwoo whispered urgently. “I’m here. I came! You’re safe now, Kook. I’ve got you.” Jungkook collapsed into him. Crying. Shaking. Broken. And Hyunwoo held him tighter, refusing to let go.

“P-pains…” Jungkook sobbed uncontrollably, clinging to Hyunwoo’s shoulder. “It’s paining… samchoon… it hurts so much…I-I can’t… I can’t—-”

His cries were broken, uneven, vulnerable amd raw. Hyunwoo looked up, and saw Kim standing there. His hands trembled. “What the fuck did you do?!” Hyunwoo screamed, his voice tearing apart. “YOU’RE A MONSTER, HYUNG! JUST GET LOST!” Kim didn’t reply. His eyes were no longer cold.

They were wounded. Hurt. His gaze drifted back to Jungkook, Curled into Hyunwoo’s arms, crying like a child who had finally broken. His whole body shook. He couldn’t stop. Kim’s jaw tightened. He turned away and stormed out.

“Hey… hey…” Hyunwoo whispered desperately, pulling Jungkook closer. “It’s okay… it’s okay… i’m here now. You’re safe., Samchoon’s here, baby… you’re not alone.” His own tears fell freely. Jungkook’s legs gave up.

He slid down against the wall, barely holding himself.

“It hurts…” he whimpered, voice tiny and weak.n”Samchoon… it hurts…. I…. I can’t…”

His eyes were heavy. Exhausted. Pain had drained everything out of him..”Hey, stay with me,” Hyunwoo begged, voice shaking. Cradling him. “Please don’t close your eyes. I’ve got you… I’m here…. I’m sorry… I was late… I’m so sorry, bun…” Jungkook shook his head faintly, his face scrunching in pain.

He looked down at his trembling hand. The sight alone made his stomach churn. He couldn’t take it anymore. His eyes slowly closed. A few final tears slipped out.

“Hey! hey!. Kook! Look at me! please!”
Hyunwoo cried, gently tapping his cheeks. No response. His heart raced. Hyunwoo checked his pulse, It was there. Weak. Uneven. He carefully lifted Jungkook and laid him on the bed. Hands shaking, he pulled out his phone.

“Doctor Hwang, please, come to the mansion right now!” His voice cracked completely. “Hyung hurted Jungkook… he…. he fainted…, he birned him on the palm, his…. H-His breathing isn’t normal…. please….just come fast!”

He hung up, hands trembling. Hyunwoo looked at Jungkook again. His face was damp with sweat and tears. So pale. So tired. Hyunwoo’s breath hitched. Tears spilled again as guilt crushed his chest. “I’m sorry…” he whispered brokenly. “Samchoon’s so sorry, baby… I shouldn’t have left you alone… I should’ve been here…”

After a moment, he forced himself to breathe. To stay calm. Jungkook needed him right now. He went to the bathroom, brought back cold water in a bowl, soaked a towel.

With trembling hands, he gently tended to Jungkook, he gently cleaned the sound, careful, slow, scared to hurt him more. Jungkook’s brows knitted faintly in pain. But he didn’t wake up.

Hyunwoo stayed beside him. Not moving. Not leaving. The doctor arrived soon after. The moment his eyes fell on Jungkook, they widened.

His gaze lingered on Jungkook’s hand, and his expression fell. They all knew it. Jungkook hated scars. He hid them. Covered them. Pretended they didn’t exist. But this one… It was on his palm. Visible. Impossible to hide.

Hyunwoo swallowed hard and looked at the doctor, his voice shaking. “H-he… he burned him… with an iron rod.” The doctor gasped softly, shock flashing across his face.

“Please,” Hyunwoo pleaded, barely holding himself together. “Help him fast… he’s in so much pain.” The doctor nodded immediately and moved to Jungkook. He checked his pulse, his brows knitting with concern. “Remove his shoes,” the doctor instructed.

Hyunwoo did it instantly, hands trembling. The doctor loosened the top buttons of Jungkook’s shirt, allowing him to breathe easier. He placed a nebulizer gently, helping Jungkook steady his breathing.

Minutes passed, slow, painful minutes. When Jungkook’s breathing eased slightly, the doctor administered medication to calm his body, to keep him from hurting more.

Then he began treating him. Carefully.
Patiently. As gently as possible. Hyunwoo stood there, watching.

Jungkook stirred restlessly, even unconscious, his brows furrowed, his face tight, as if pain had seeped into his dreams. Hyunwoo’s jaw clenched. Anger burned through his veins. He turned and stormed out.

Hyunwoo pushed open Kim’s room. Fury radiated from him. Kim stood there, glass in hand, drinking as if nothing had happened. The moment Hyunwoo entered the room….. The glass jar shattered against the wall. The bullet sound echoed.

Another shot. And another. Glass scattered across the floor. Kim didn’t even flinch. “If you want shooting practice,” Kim said calmly. “Go outside and do it.”

Hyunwoo laughed, a broken, hurt bitter laugh. “Oh, wow,” he snapped.
“Thank you for the advice, Mr. Kim Yoonseong.” He raised the gun slightly, eyes blazing.

“And you should be thankful,” Hyunwoo growled, voice shaking with rage, “That this bullet isn’t in your head right now.” Kim finally looked at him. “That…. You’re still alive,” Hyunwoo continued, stepping closer, “Because you need to answer for everything. To everyone”

The room fell silent. “What the fuck do you want, huh?” Kim snapped.

Hyunwoo laughed, a broken, laugh. Tears streamed down his face as his voice rose, sharp and furious. “Me? I don’t want a single fucking thing,” he yelled. “Except for that kid to be happy! That’s all! Why the hell are you doing this to your own son, hyung?! He did nothing! Nothing!” His voice cracked.

“He’s just a kid,” Hyunwoo continued, chest heaving. “A kid who’s craving love. Care. Comfort. Someone to hold him and say it’s okay. But all he ever got from you was pain. Pain after pain after pain.” he pointed at Kim, his hands shaking.

“If you hate him so much, then just leave him! Just fucking leave him alone! Don’t hurt him anymore! He is your son, hyung. Your son.” hyuwnoo screamed, and yet Kim still stayed silent.

“You did this on purpose,” Hyunwoo spat. “BTS burned your warehouse and you took it out on him. You were angry, and you fucking abused him. That poor kid. Tell me, hyung… how long are you planning to hurt him? Ten years? Twenty? Or do you want him dead by your own hands?” That line hit.

In a second, Kim was on him, grabbing Hyunwoo by the neck and slamming him against the wall. Hyunwoo struggled, gasping.

“Don’t you dare,” Kim growled, eyes burning. “I don’t want him dead. I don’t want him to suffer. I just wanted to teach him obedience. To know his place. To understand his mistakes.” He shoved Hyunwoo away.

Hyunwoo coughed, straightened slowly, and looked at Kim with eyes filled with nothing but disgust.

“You’re not his appa,” he said quietly….. but the words cut deeper than shouting. “Not the appa who cried when he cried over injections. Not the appa who cradledu him all night. Not the man who spoiled him with love and gifts. Not the appa who alway been for him… from his first step to first cry…. the one who cried first when he cried…”

His lips trembled. “You’re not the man I knew anymore. Even noona wouldn’t recognize you now. She would regret marrying you, hyung. Did you forget how he came into your life. How you and noona fought for him. How much you both suffered to keep him alive? He is the boy whom you took in your hand and said you will fucking protect him!” Kim stiffened.

“You think Jungkook was the reason for her death,” Hyunwoo continued coldly. “Then remember this, you will be the reason for your son’s death.” Silence crashed between them.

“He’s still taking those pills,” Hyunwoo said, voice breaking again, calm and soft. Kim looked at him. Eyes filled with disbelief . “The same pills that almost killed him. You remember that day, don’t you? He’s still trying to escape this world. He overdosed yesterday, hyung. Just Yesterday….. just yesterday he doctor said she shouldn’t stress over anything.” Kim kept looking at him.

“He’s still trapped,” Hyunwoo whispered. “Still stuck in the mind of that sixteen-year-old boy that you broke.” Kim finally looked at him. “What are you talking about?” Hyunwoo let out a bitter chuckle.

“He has valve failure.” Kim’s expression shifted, something unreadable flickering in his eyes. Anger? Hurt? Concern? Love? Care?worry? Protectiveness? It seemed like everything!

“He was having chest pains,” Hyunwoo continued. “Didn’t tell anyone. Just endured it. Yesterday, the doctor warned, no stress, no pain. And today?” His voice shook. “You hurted him again… so badly that he fainted, out of breath, crying in pain.” Tears spilled again.

“He cried,” Hyunwoo said. “Cried saying it hurt. That it hurted like hell. That he couldn’t endure it anymore.” Kim’s jaw tightened.

“And now,” Hyunwoo whispered, voice hollow, “the doctors say he needs surgery. An open-heart surgery. The one you feared the most. The one noona feared. Everyone feared.” when Kim heard that, he swallowed hard. His eyes turned soft. Now the hurt screamed.

“And that poor kid doesn’t even know yet.” Hyunwoo took a shaky breath. “How miserable,” he said softly. “How pitiful.” Then his eyes hardened. “And one more thing, hyung, Jin is close. He’s already digging. He won’t stop. When he finds out everything… you’ll lose it all. Your personal life. Your mafia kingdom. Everything.” He turned away. “I’m done with you,” Hyunwoo said. “After for everything you’ve done, you deserve what you deserve.”

He paused at the door, not turning back. “And don’t you ever,” his voice dropped to a lethal calm, “call Jungkook your son again.” Then he left. The door slammed shut. And Kim Yoonseong stood alone, with a kingdom burning, a son slipping away, and the consequences of his actions finally catching up.

He didn’t move.nDidn’t speak. The words kept echoing inside his head, merciless, unforgiving.

“He’s going to get an open-heart surgery again….. He had chest pains and suffered alone…… He’s still using those pills.”

Kim exhaled shakily. For the first time in a long while, his chest felt tight, not with anger, but with something far heavier. He grabbed his coat and stormed out of the house.

Meanwhile, Hyunwoo quietly entered the room. The doctor was finishing up, carefully wrapping Jungkook’s hand with clean bandages. Hyunwoo stood frozen, watching every movement, his heart clenched tight.

Once done, the doctor straightened and spoke softly.n”I’ve given him an IV. It’s necessary,” he said. “He may still feel pain when he wakes up. If it becomes too much, give him a painkiller.”nHyunwoo nodded silently.

“Change the bandage once a day,” the doctor continued. “I’ve also given him a sedative. He’ll wake up in a few hours.” He paused, his voice lowering.

“Please… don’t let him panic. His heart can’t take it. If he panics too much, it won’t be good for him.” Hyunwoo’s throat tightened. He nodded again. “I’m counting on you,” the doctor said gently. Even his eyes glistened.

He had been Jungkook’s doctor since the day he was born. He had seen every pain. Every cry. Every hospital bed and sleepless night. Nineteen years. He’s been with him for nineteen years. And it still broke his heart every single time.

The doctor bowed slightly and left. The room fell quiet. Hyunwoo exhaled slowly and walked over to Jungkook. He sat beside him, eyes scanning his face. Cold sweat still clung to his skin.

Hyunwoo took a tissue and gently wiped it away, careful not to disturb him. “I’m sorry, kookah…” he whispered, voice breaking. “Samchoon is really sorry, baby.” Tears slipped down his cheeks. He stayed there. Watching over him.
Guarding his sleep. Holding all the regret he could never erase.

.

.

.

“Hngg…” A broken whimper slipped past Jungkook’s lips as his eyes slowly fluttered open. Light stabbed into his vision, too bright. His head throbbed like it was being split open from the inside. A dull, burning ache pulsed through his palm.

He exhaled shakily. The room spun. His body felt heavy, drowned in drowsiness. He blinked a few times, trying to ground himself. No one was there. He was alone.

He turned his head to the right. And froze. His right hand. Fully wrapped in clean white bandages. He saw the time it was 7 in the evening.

His throat tightened. He swallowed hard, staring at it like it didn’t belong to him. Like it was proof of something he didn’t want to remember, but already had. His chest began to rise unevenly.

He slowly sat up, ignoring the way his head screamed in protest. His breaths turned shallow, uneven. And then, memories crashed in.

The heat. The pain. The voice. His eyes dropped back to the bandage. It was visible. Too visible. He tugged at his sleeve, trying to pull it down, once, twice. It wouldn’t cover it. Couldn’t. His lips trembled. Tears spilled before he could stop them. He tried again. And again. Hands shaking. Breath breaking.

But no matter how much he tried, He couldn’t hide it. “No…” he whispered, voice barely there. The word fell apart with him. Tears streamed freely now, silent but relentless. His chest hurt as he breathed. He finally stopped trying, shoulders slumping as he looked down. Defeated. He couldn’t change it.
Couldn’t erase it. Couldn’t pretend it didn’t happen.

His gaze drifted to the side table. Photos. His memories. Some neatly taped. Some crooked. Some are stillq scattered and broken. His lower lip quivered. He sniffed, wiping his tears with his left hand, then slowly reached out.

The first photo he picked up. Him and Eunwoo. School uniforms. Wide smiles. Carefree. Happy.

His breath hitched. Next.

Him and his noona, Haein, her hands cupping his cheeks, her smile warm and soft like a shield. Another sob clawed up his throat. Then, Him with his hyung, Suho’s arm around him. Both smiling. Jungkook’s eyes crinkled in that photo, the kind of smile he didn’t even remember how to make anymore.

And then, His mom. Both of them smiling, but it was torn and bandaged. That was it. A broken sob tore out of him.

His shoulders shook violently as he clutched the photo, tears dripping onto it. He saw there were others, many others, but only four were fixed for now. His eyes landed on one more. Half fixed. His family photo.

Hands trembling, he picked it up with his left hand, careful, too careful. Pieces were missing. Corners torn. Faces incomplete. He stared at it, vision blurred, chest aching. It was so incomplete. Just like him. He felt small. Weak. Pathetic.

Slowly, desperately, he began searching the table for the missing pieces. Turning photos over one by one. Using only his left hand.

The right stayed still. Tears soaked everything. The pieces wouldn’t come together. No matter how much he searched. The tears blurred his vision and yet he tried to recollect the pictures. Which was just fragments now. Broken memories.

The door opened. Hyunwoo entered, holding a roll of cello tape. He froze when he saw Jungkook sitting there, crying, trembling, trying to fix everything with shaking hands.

“Hey… hey, Kook…” Hyunwoo rushed to him. Jungkook looked up, and his tears flowed harder.

Hyunwoo set the tape aside immediately and knelt in front of him. “Hey, hey, Kook… it’s okay. I’ll fix it, baby. Don’t cry. You’re safe,” he said softly. But Jungkook didn’t answer.

He just cried, staring at the broken pictures. He stopped trying to fix them. He just… cried. Hyunwoo’s eyes glistened. He pulled Jungkook into his arms. And…. Jungkook broke down completely.

“Hey, Kook… calm down, baby. It’s okay, I’m here. You are not alone,” Hyunwoo whispered, rubbing his back. His eyes glistening wih the way his Jungkook cried. Jungkook cried harder. “S… samchoon…” Jungkook whispered. Hyunwoo’s heart clenched.

It had been years. Years since Jungkook had called him that. He felt happy, but at what cost?

“Yeah, baby?” Hyunwoo replied, voice trembling. “He… he destroyed it,” Jungkook sobbed. “He ruined everything… I hate him… I hate Appa.” He buried his face into Hyunwoo’s shoulder.

“I… I’ll fix it, Kook,” Hyunwoo said, trying to steady his voice. “Don’t worry. I’ll fix everything. Everything. I’ll make it just like before.” Jungkook didn’t reply. He only snuggled closer.

“I will. I promise,” Hyunwoo said firmly. Jungkook’s sobs finally softened, though tears still slipped down his cheeks.

Hyunwoo gently pulled back and wiped his tears. “No more tears, hmm? I’m here. Samchoon is here. You aren’t alone.”

Jungkook stayed silent, eyes still wet, face flushed red, doe-like eyes drowning in tears. “Let me bring you some soup, hmm?” Hyunwoo asked. Jungkook didn’t respond. He only looked down. Still crying silently, Hyunwoo sighed and left the room with tears.

Jungkook stared at his hand. He kept staring at it. His breaths were shallow.
Hyunwoo returned with a tray. He stopped when he saw Jungkook still sitting there, eyes fixed on the bandage.

Hyunwoo swallowed hard, took a deep breath, placed the tray on the table, and sat beside him.

“Hey… it’s okay,” he whispered softly. “No… it’s not,” Jungkook mumbled.

“It’ll leave an ugly scar, right?” Jungkook asked, still staring at his palm. “W-we can treat it…” Hyunwoo replied, though he knew the truth.

“It will,” Jungkook said quietly. “It will leave an ugly, disgusting scar. Everyone will look at it… T-they’ll feel disgusted… They’ll stare at the ugly scar.” His voice broke with every word.

“No… no, Kook… no one will,” Hyunwoo tried, hai own tears fell. Jungkook shook his head in denial. Tears slipped down his cheeks.

“I… I just went out… H-he ruined my memories,” Jungkook cried. “C-called me a curse… h-he said he regretted having me… Appa said I am a fucking curse. I… I ruined everything, Samchoon… I… I shouldn’t have been born… I should have died that day… Samchoon… I shouldn’t have been born… I fucking ruined everything!” Jungkook broke down, bawling.

Hyunwoo couldn’t help but cry with him. He hugged Jungkook tightly. “No, no… it’s not your fault,” Hyunwoo said, voice shaking. “Kook, no one regrets you, baby… We all love you.”

But then…. what Jungkook said just broke his heart. “I hate myself… I fucking hate myself, Samchoon,” Jungkook sobbed. “I don’t want to live… I can’t… It’s hurting everywhere… Why did you save me that day… ahh, waee??”

Jungkook cried harder, hitting Hyunwoo weakly with his right hand. The hits weren’t strong, just desperate. Hyunwoo’s tears fell more and more. That day flashed in his mind.

“Kook, no… stay with me, baby… Please open your eyes… No, no, no… please! Baby, look at me… please…”

“You deserve to live,” Hyunwoo whispered, voice trembling.n”No, I don’t,” Jungkook cried. “I hate myself… I want to disappear for existing… I don’t want to live, Samchoon… I can’t!”

He hit Hyunwoo again, weaker this time. The white bandage slowly turned red at the center.

Hyunwoo grabbed Jungkook’s hand, holding it firmly but gently, trying to calm both of them. He broke the hug and looked at Jungkook’s face, tear-soaked, breath uneven.

“Kook… you don’t have to endure all this,” Hyunwoo said, voice trembling “I promise you this today… I promise, baby… I won’t leave you alone anymore. I won’t. I will not. No more pain for you, bun… I promise.”

“Really?” Jungkook asked softly, sniffing.

Hyunwoo forced a smile through his tears. He cupped Jungkook’s face and said, voice shaking, “Yes… I promise. I promise to protect my Kookie, protect my little champ, my crime partner!.”

He placed a gentle kiss on Jungkook’s head. Jungkook didn’t say anything. He just sat there. Still crying.

Okay! How was it? As far as I have written! It is the saddest part I ever wrote!
