Jin’s eyes widened at the name he just heard. Suho? He froze for a moment, unsure if he heard right. Tae didn’t heard what jungkook said.

Another thunder crashed outside, loud and sharp. Jungkook flinched hard again, his breathing turning quick and uneven. Jin snapped out of his thoughts, grabbed the headphones, and gently placed them back on Jungkook’s ears.

“It’s okay, Kook. Hyungie’s here. I’m right here, hmm? Just sleep,” Jin said softly, forcing himself to stay calm.

The soft music played through the headphones, and slowly Jungkook’s mind began to settle. The image of Suho faded away. When he blinked, he saw Jin and Tae there beside him. His eyes filled with tears again as he looked around, realizing Suho wasn’t really there.

“Kook are you okay? Look at me” Jin said, Jungkook looked at him with teary eyes, Jin immediately scooped him in his arms, “it’s okay baby, nothing is happening” Jin said, jungkook didn’t say anything, he just burried his face on Jin’s broad should. He closed his eyes, trying to calm. Jin kept saying soothing words. The music was also helping him alot. Slowly he calmed.

When Jin noticed his steady breaths he broke the hug. Jungkook just looked down.

“Here, Kook. Drink some water,” Tae said, handing him a glass.

Jungkook nodded in tiny. He took the glass from Tae and drank it in small gulps, his hands still trembling a little.

Jin couldn’t stop thinking about what Jungkook said earlier. Why hyung’s name? he wondered, confused and uneasy. He was still deep in thought when Jungkook spoke up in a low, tired voice. “W-why are you guys here?”

“It was pouring outside,” Tae said quickly. “We just wanted to check on you.”

Jungkook looked at Jin. “Then
 why are you drenched?”

“I went out,” Jin replied simply. Jungkook just nodded, too tired to ask more.

“Sleep, hmm?” Jin said gently. Jungkook nodded again and lay back down.

“Hyung, you can go sleep. I’ll stay with him,” Tae said quietly.

Jin gave a small nod. “If anything happens, call me, okay? Everything’s fine. Don’t worry,” he whispered.

Tae nodded back. Jin looked at Jungkook, who was looking at him already.  “Sleep well, Kook,” Jin said softly.

Jungkook didn’t respond. He just stayed still, listening to the faint music in his ears. Jin sighed quietly and left the room.

“You didn’t go?” Jungkook asked softly. “Ani,” Tae said with a small smile. “I’ll sleep with you.” He lay down on the bed beside him, turning to face Jungkook.

“Are you having trouble sleeping?” Tae asked suddenly. Jungkook blinked at him, a little confused. He hesitated, then shook his head no.

Tae didn’t press. He just reached out and began patting him gently. “Sleep, Kook. Don’t think about anything. We’re here,” Tae said quietly. Jungkook couldn’t bring himself to reply.

He didn’t even know what this feeling was. It felt strange
but warm. He truly felt loved and cared for. Like he was slowly crawling out of the hell.

No one had ever been there to comfort him when he was scared. No one had come when he cried for help. But now
before he even had a chance to panic, before he even asked, someone was already there. Beside him. Comforting him.

He hadn’t asked for help. He hadn’t asked for kind words. But they were giving them to him anyway.

Hearing those quiet, gentle words, something cracked inside his broken heart, and a little bit of hope slipped in.

He was grateful. Truly grateful to have them by his side. But at the same time
  he was scared.

Do I really deserve all this? That was the only question he asked himself whenever he smiled, felt happy, or felt loved and cared for.

Tae’s voice broke the silence. “Is the music still on?” he asked quietly. “Just the instruments,” Jungkook replied softly.

Tae nodded, then smiled a little. “You know
when you were little, you weren’t scared of thunder at all. But I was. I was so scared of it. And you used to comfort me every time there was thunder.”

He chuckled, mimicking Jungkook’s younger voice. “‘Tae Tae, don’t be scared! It’s just thunder, I’ll save you!’” Jungkook let out a small laugh. “Really?”

“Yeah,” Tae grinned. “You were loved by literally everyone. You were the prince of our house, and honestly, you still are.”

Jungkook just listened quietly, eyes soft. “Everyone loved me?” he asked. “Mhm,” Tae said, smiling at the memory. “You were treated like a king. On your birthdays, the whole house would be covered with decorations, toys, and chocolates. Appa would practically bathe you in chocolate syrup, then Eomma would scold him for it.” Tae laughed gently. “Everyone showered you with love, Kook. You were
so precious to us and still is.”

Jungkook stayed silent for a moment, just taking in every word. “Why?” he whispered. “Why am I so precious to you all?”

Tae’s smile softened. “Because you came into our lives like a miracle,” he said quietly. “You brought light into our world. That’s it.”

Jungkook just stared at him, his eyes glistening. “After you went to Italy,” Tae continued, his voice lowering, “we all missed you so much. There wasn’t a single day we didn’t think about you.”

Silence filled the room again. Jungkook turned slightly closer to Tae. “Hyung
” he whispered.

Tae hummed in response, looking at him. “How did Yoona-ssi die?” Jungkook asked suddenly.

Tae froze. His breath hitched as the question sank in. “Wae? Why are you asking that?” he said carefully. “J-just asking
” Jungkook’s voice was barely above a whisper.

“Don’t think about that,” Tae said softly but firmly. “You don’t need to know, okay? Just sleep.” “S-she died in an accident while saving me, right——”

Before Jungkook could finish, Tae quickly pulled him into his arms.

“I said don’t think about that,” Tae said firmly. “Just sleep. This is the last time I   hear that question. Sleep, Kook.”

Jungkook didn’t answer. He just closed his eyes, though he wasn’t asleep. Tae kept stroking his hair gently, patting him until his body relaxed. A silent tear slipped down Tae’s cheek.

Minutes passed. Jungkook finally drifted off, his breathing soft and even. Tae slowly removed the headphones and brushed the hair from his face.

He stared at the ceiling, lost in thought, his mind too heavy to let him sleep.

Meanwhile, with Jin

Jin lay on his bed, freshly changed but wide awake. The rain outside had softened, but his thoughts hadn’t.

Why did Kook call me Suho hyung?
Does he
 does he even know Suho?
No
that’s impossible. Hyung went to New Zealand, right?

He frowned, turning to his side, restless. His mind wouldn’t stop. He reached for his phone and opened an old photo, him and Suho, smiling.

A sad smile tugged at his lips. “Hyung
when are you going to forgive me?” Jin whispered. “When will you talk to me again? I just
I miss you so much. Please, just one text. That’s all I need.”

His voice cracked, quiet and raw in the stillness. He sighed, locking the screen, then placed the phone beside him. He stared up at the ceiling, eyes unfocused, thoughts heavy.

He couldn’t sleep. Not when his heart was tangled between guilt, fear, and confusion.

Why did Jungkook say Suho’s name?  It was only question that he wanted to be answered.  His thoughts wandered about jungkook’s safety, about his dad, about suho. The thoughts made him restless.

One random evening.

A man sat tied to a chair, his face full of blood and cuts. His eyes were swollen shut, every breath a ragged whisper. He looked like he was on the edge of death. He was the same rival who got into kim’s mansion. The one who was sent alive to the base.

Hobi stepped forward, a knife in his hand. He pressed the blade to the man’s chest and slowly,  deliberately,  dragged it down. The man screamed in pain.

“Please
 ahhhhhhhhh, please!” he choked out.

Hobi paused, watching him with a small, bitter pity. “Why act so tough?” he said, voice low and sarcastic. “Tell me, what did your boss order? What’s he planning?”

“I…. I- I don’t know, sir
 please, I have a family
” the man gasped, terror twisting his words.

Before Hobi could press harder, someone grabbed the knife from behind him. It was Yoongi aka August D.

“Yah, you motherfucking bastard,” Yoongi barked, voice like a blade. “You think we have time to torture you into answering?”

The man’s begging turned to pleading. “I’m telling the truth, sir, please, don’t—-”

Yoongi scoffed and turned. Jin sat a few feet away, like a king on a throne, the dim light catching the rim of his wine glass. He raised it to his lips and sipped, watching them all with that impossibly calm face.

“You going to sit there, Hyung, or are you coming to finish this?” Yoongi snapped, knife still steady in his hand.

Jin set his glass down with a slow, deliberate exhale. The clink of porcelain on wood seemed to echo in the silent room.

He looked at the bleeding man. He looked at Yoongi. His eyes narrowed, and for a breath, everything held, waiting for whatever came next.

He grabbed his rifle and walked over to the man. “I’ll give you five minutes to tell me everything why you came, who sent you, what’s the plan,” Jin said, voice cold. He checked his watch. “Time starts now.” He aimed at the wooden board behind the man and fired. The bullet cracked through the air.

“I said I don’t know! I fucking don’t know anything!” the man yelled.

“Three minutes,” Jin said, watching the man with hard eyes.

“No, I can’t——” the man begged. Jin wheeled and fired into the man’s thighs. The man screamed, collapsing back in pain.

Jin crouched and, with a shrug that made it sound casual, planted his boot on the wounded leg. “Two minutes. Tell me before I kill you,” he said.

“I can’t!” the man gasped.

“One minute.” Jin put the barrel to the man’s forehead. The man’s eyes flew wide. He knew what that look meant: if he didn’t talk, he was dead.

“Will
will you leave me then?” the man stammered.

“You wasted ten seconds,” Jin said flatly.

“O-okay, okay, I’ll tell,” the man finally choked out.

Jin didn’t move.

“Park Minjoon and Manic planned this,” the man blurted, voice shaking. “Their plan is to kidnap your younger brother. To….also…to take down your dad. They’re watching your family. They set a spy inside your team. That’s all I know, I swear—–”

“Who’s the spy?” Jin cut in, teeth clenched.

“I
I don’t know. Only those two know,” the man gasped.

Jin scoffed and tossed the rifle to Hobi. “He wasted ten seconds,” Jin said, and walked away.

Hobi chuckled and looked down at the man with cold pity. “Poor you. You wasted those ten seconds, now you’re going to hell,” he said.

“No…no, please! I have a family, please!” the man cried.

“What, haven’t you been cheating on your wife? Having affairs every day?” Yoongi asked, voice flat and dangerous.

Before the man could answer, the room exploded with a single gunshot.

Meanwhile, with Jin.

Jin was in his cabin, absently twisting a Rubik’s cube, his mind clearly somewhere else. The room was quiet until Namjoon walked in, laptop in hand.

“Hyung, here’s the data you asked for,” Namjoon said, placing it on the desk.

Jin nodded and pulled the laptop closer, scanning through the information with sharp eyes. “Send DK to Manic’s base as a spy, and Scoups to Minjoon’s. Clear their records completely, I want them working undercover by tonight,” Jin ordered, his tone all serious and cold.

Namjoon nodded. “alright. And about security, I’ve arranged extra guards for the maknaes.”

“Good,” Jin said, standing and brushing his hands together. “Then I’ll leave. Finish up here and head ho—–”

He stopped mid-sentence as his phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID, it was Haein. He sighed and answered.

“Yeoboseyo,” he spoke voice calm. “Yah! Kim Seok Jin! The meeting starts in fifteen minutes, you idiot! Where the hell are you both?” Haein’s frustrated voice crackled through the speaker.

Jin’s eyes widened. “Oh, shit! I’ll be there in ten minutes! Haein-ah, handle things till then, thank you in advance!” he said quickly, grabbing his coat from the hanger.

Just then, Yoongi strolled in, looking half-dead. “Ahh, I’m so tired, I just want to sleep,” he groaned, collapsing onto the couch.

“Better come soon,” Haein warned before Jin hung up.

“Yah, Yoongs! Let’s go! Meeting’s in fifteen minutes!” Jin barked.

“What?!” Yoongi shot up, eyes wide. Namjoon and Hobi chuckled from behind.

“Ahh, why didn’t you tell me earlier, hyung?” Yoongi whined.

“Hobi, Joon, finish everything here, then head home,” Jin said as he moved toward the door.

“Got it,” Namjoon replied.

“common grandpa soon!” Jin yelled, holding the door open.

“ahhh why?” Yoongi whined but still hurried after him, grumbling.

Time Skips, After the Meeting

Once all the attendees left, Jin finally let out a deep sigh and sank into his chair.

“We made it!” Yoongi said, smiling, while Haein and Junho nodded, grinning.

“Let’s celebrate tonight with dinner,” Jin said casually.

“Really? Woahhh, you’re the best, Jin!” Haein cheered. Jin smiled to himself.

“You should come too, Junho-ssi,” Yoongi added. “Sure, Yoongi-ssi,” Junho replied, bowing slightly. Yoongi just smiled at him.

Yoongi then noticed Jin staring off, lost in thought, his eyes fixed on Haein with a small, quiet smile.

Yoongi scoffed, coughed loudly, and Jin blinked, coming back to reality.

“What are you staring at, hyung-nim?” Yoongi asked innocently.

“Nah, just
looking around. Why?” Jin replied coolly. Yoongi rolled his eyes. Jin glared back.

“Yahh, Seokjin-ah! What about Project 75-A?” Haein asked. “Huh
I’ve looked into it. Yoongi will finish it by tomorrow, right, Yoongs?” Jin asked.

Yoongi shot him a betrayed look, about to protest, but Jin didn’t give him the chance.

“Let’s go,” Jin said, standing and dragging Yoongi along. “Ahh, hyung! Are you planning to kill me, huh?” Yoongi whined.

“Just this once,” Jin said with a tight smile. “She’ll kill me if we don’t finish it by tomorrow. You know how scary she gets when angry.”

“Ahhh, why me then? You can do it yourself, na?” Yoongi complained. “I’ll accept anything you ask for, okay?” Jin said firmly.

“Really?” Yoongi asked, smirking, “Nae, promise,” Jin replied, voice serious.

“Okay then, I’m going to have my best night tonight, with drinks!” Yoongi said, smirking.

“No, NEVER, NO NEVER,” Jin shot back.

“Nah, you just promised, my hyungie,” Yoongi said, playfully pulling Jin’s hand and heading happily toward the canteen.

Jin sighed, shaking his head, and followed. The staff bowed as he entered the canteen. He spotted Haein, smiling as she spoke with one of the servers.

Jin smiled unknowingly, but before he could linger in the moment, Junho appeared, dragging Haein to the desk. Jin scoffed, practically glaring daggers at him.

“Ahhhh, he’s really provoking me, shiball,” Jin muttered, pouting. Then he stopped, muttering under his breath, “Why am I feeling jealous? Nevermind
she’s not my type! I have standards, she is not even my type. Ahhh Nevermind.”

He watched as Junho and Haein settled side by side. He saw Junho’s hand brush against hers. Jin’s chest tightened. Without thinking, he grabbed his plate and walked straight over, Yoongi following beside him. Jin sat in front of Haein; Yoongi plopped down next to him.

He shot Junho a cold glare before sitting. Junho, unsure what to do, bowed quickly. Jin ignored him and started eating.

Yoongi chuckled quietly beside him. Haein was scrolling her phone, laughing at something.

“Junho-ya, look at this!” she said, showing Junho the screen. He laughed, shoulders brushing hers.

Jin’s eyes narrowed, grip on his chopsticks tightening. He could practically feel the tension in the air. He are his food like he is offended. He looked like a kid being forced to eat the brocolli.

Haein showed the vedio to jin and yoongi too, Yoongi burst out laughing,  while Jin just stared at the phone, dead serious.

“What’s so funny to laugh at? It’s just a video,” Jin muttered, rolling his eyes, taking a bite.

Haein glared at him, flicking her spoon toward him in mock offense. Jin leaned back, suppressing a laugh.

“He’s getting old, noona! Not young enough to find a video this funny,” Yoongi said, shaking his head. Jin glared at him.

Before he could respond, Haein shot back sarcastically, “Right though! What a man!”

Jin scoffed dramatically. “Miss, I am the CEO. I must remain professional, you know! I don’t know who in the world laughs at that silly video! Anyone can, but not a professional like me, you know!”

“Nae, nae, CEO Kim,” Haein said, standing and bowing  90 degree. “Are you being sarcastic, Haein?” Jin asked, rising his eyebrows..

“Of course I am, Mr. CEO!” she said, a tight, teasing smile on her face.

Jin rolled his eyes, while Yoongi and Junho chuckled quietly beside him.
