Chapter 99

The Evening

Jungkook stood there, trying his best to put on his tie. “Ahhh, shiball,” he sighed in frustration.

Just then, the door opened, revealing Kim, fully ready. “Are you ready?” Kim asked, his voice calm.

Jungkook didn’t reply, just nodded. “You haven’t tied your tie yet?” Kim asked. “I… I’ll do it,” Jungkook said coldly.

“Still not grown enough to wear a tie,” Kim said as he stepped in front of him and took the tie.

Jungkook didn’t step back or protest. He just kept looking down. “You know, right? Appa doesn’t like people who disobey him, and he never forgives them unless he gives them a valid punishment,” Kim said while wrapping the tie around Jungkook’s neck.

Jungkook nodded silently. Kim continued tying it. “So I don’t want my son to get punished by my hands again. Don’t disobey me, alright?” he said, finishing the knot.

Jungkook gulped and nodded. “And Kook… I don’t want you to leave my sight. You can be with your hyungs, but you must stay with them or with me. Don’t go anywhere else without telling anyone, or without the guards. Understood?” Kim asked.

Jungkook nodded again. “And… this is important,” Kim continued. “If you feel any headaches, you must tell me. Don’t stress yourself over anything, especially recalling things you don’t remember. Understood?”

His voice wasn’t commanding like a boss’s. It sounded like a real man’s voice. A man who cared. A man who knew the meaning of concern.

Jungkook stared at his father with confused, unsettled eyes.

Since when did he started to show this much care… this much affection? And… protectiveness?

“Why?” Jungkook asked quietly, curious. “Why shouldn’t I stress?” “Just listen, Kook. I don’t want you to do that,” Kim said again.

Jungkook nodded. “Verbal answer,” Kim demanded. Jungkook sighed. “…Nae.”

Kim picked up the watch and gently took Jungkook’s hand. With careful movements, he made him wear it. “Can we go?” Kim asked.

“Nae,” Jungkook replied. Kim patted his shoulder and stepped out first.

Once Kim left, Jungkook finally released the breath he’d been holding as if he hadn’t breathed properly the entire time.

Jungkook was nervous, more than nervous. He was scared. Scared of what might happen at the event.

He went to his closet and took out a box from beneath the clothes. He opened it carefully. There it was, Suho’s gift. Suho’s necklace.

Jungkook stared at it for a moment, then gently put it on. He tucked it inside his shirt, hiding it.

Then he took another box from under the clothes, a pill box. His benzos. He took one pill with water and slipped the box into the pocket of his suit, just in case he needed it.

Jungkook sighed and stood in front of the mirror, composing himself for the event.

“Okay, Jungkook… don’t be stressed. Just stay with him or the hyungs. Don’t stress. Nothing will happen,” he whispered, trying to encourage himself.

Then he heard a knock on the door. “Come in,” Jungkook said softly. It was Jin.

He was dressed in a full black suit, nothing short of domination. His handsome face was the same as always.

“Hey, Kook,” Jin said, his voice calm and warm. Jungkook looked at him, no emotion, just stillness.

“Oh my… our maknae looks so handsome today! You’re so handsome, Kook-ah!” Jin said with a smile. Jungkook only nodded.

Jin gently held Jungkook’s hand. Jungkook startled slightly and looked at him with confused eyes.

“Is something wrong?” Jin asked softly. “You look sad.”

Finally!!!!

Finally, someone asked him. Jungkook gulped and shook his head. “I… I’m fine. Nothing happened,” he said, looking away.

Jin sighed. “I know you’re lying. Just know that I’m all ears. I want you to tell me what’s wrong. Are you feeling any uneasiness? Or feeling unwell?” Jin asked again.

Jungkook shook his head. “Just… sleepy,” Jungkook lied.

Jin sighed and cupped Jungkook’s face gently. “Did Dad do anything? Did he scold you or hurt you?” Jin asked, his voice concerned and serious.

Jungkook looked at him, how did you know? but immediately shook his head. “Ani, ani… h-he didn’t do anything,” Jungkook said quickly.

That nervousness, the panic, the hesitation, it confirmed everything for Jin. Jin sighed. “Alright… if you say so. Let’s talk later, okay?” Jin said, caressing Jungkook’s hair.

Jungkook nodded. Jin adjusted his suit and smiled. “My bunny looks really handsome today! And very cute as well.”

“I’m not cute,” Jungkook muttered. “Ani, you are cute, like a little bunny,” Jin said playfully. “Aniyooo! I’m not cute!” Jungkook whined, pouting.

Jin chuckled. “Alright, Mr. Cool Bunny.” Jungkook let out a small chuckle.

That smile, small but real, made Jin smile too. His brother smiled again. And that was a relief.

“Kook-ahhh!” Taehyung appeared, dressed neatly in his suit, hair perfectly styled.

“Oh my God! My bunny looks so handsome and cute!” Tae exclaimed, earning a chuckle from Jin and a glare from Jungkook.

“I am not cute, hyung!” Jungkook whined again. “Ani, you are a little cute bunny! So cute and handsome, bun-bun” Tae said.

Jungkook shot him another fake glare. Tae chuckled. “Okay, okay, cool bunny. Alright,” Tae said, giving a thumbs-up.

Jungkook nodded with a small smile. “Oh, looks like a hamster is also soooooo handsome,” Tae added, turning to Jin with teasing eyes.

“Yahhh! I’m going to kill you if you call me by that name one more time!” Jin snapped.

“Then should I call you…” Tae paused, eyes glinting with mischief. Jin narrowed his eyes.

“…an old hamster?” Tae finished.

Jungkook burst into a chuckle, while Jin glared at Tae. “You really need some good smacks from me, right?” Jin said, stepping closer.

“Ani, no need,” Tae replied sheepishly.

Jin signaled him a death sign. Tae chuckled again. “Can we go downstairs? Appa is waiting,” Tae said, holding Jungkook’s hands.

Jungkook, who had been numb since morning, finally smiled when his hyungs were around. But at the mention of Kim, anxiety washed over him once again.

At the event

Four luxurious cars stood outside the event hall.

The first car door opened, revealing Kim and Hyunwoo. Kim stepped out with pure dominance, while Hyunwoo stood beside him, carrying the same authority, softened by a hint of kindness.

The next car door opened.

Jin, Tae, and Jungkook stepped out, the sons of Kim, exuding elegance and power. Jin stepped out first with a composed smile, followed by Tae with effortless grace, and Jungkook in the center, his face holding curiosity, calmness, and pure elegance.

The next car revealed Jimin, Yoongi, Hobi, and Namjoon. The four stepped out together, carrying the same blend of elegance, kindness, and dominance.

The seven brothers walked forward. The seven Kims moved in unison. Each step spoke of their authority. Each step reflected the power and respect they carried.

When the Kim family entered, all attention shifted to them. Every eye was on them, filled with awe. Warm smiles followed as people bowed respectfully to the Kims.

Jeon Seonah, dressed in an elegant gown, noticed them immediately. She walked straight toward Kim. Kim smiled.

“Oppa… you came!” Seon-ah said warmly. “How could I not come to my sister’s farewell party?” Kim replied with a chuckle.

Seonah’s husband, Jeon Minho, approached them. “Glad you’re here, Yoonseong-ah,” Minho said, pulling Kim into a hug. Kim smiled. “Wow, it’s been so many years, right? Maybe four?”

“Five years, dude!” Minho laughed. Kim chuckled.

“Oh my… my boys are here!” Seon-ah exclaimed happily. Everyone bowed to her.

“How are you, imo?” Tae asked, hugging her. “I’m fine, Taehyung-ah,” Seonah replied, affectionately caressing his hair. Smiles spread across everyone’s faces.

Jungkook stood between Kim and Jin, Jin holding his hand. Jungkook looked around with numb eyes, silently observing everything. “Jungkook-ah!” Minho called.

Jungkook looked at him, confused. Minho stepped forward and hugged him. Jungkook startled but didn’t react, he just stood there.

“You’ve grown so much, my boy,” Minho said, ruffling his hair affectionately. Kim watched the scene with a smile. So did the others.

Jungkook didn’t say anything; he just stood there. “Samchon, where is your crime partner?” Tae asked playfully.

“She went to her room for a few minutes,” Minho replied.

Tae nodded. “It’s been so many years since I last irritated her,” he said. Jimin smirked. “I already miss doing that,” he said, clearly planning something.

Tae and Jimin laughed. “Don’t you dare make her cry again with your stupid pranks,” Yoongi commented.

Tae and Jimin chuckled. “She was the one who made us cry every day!” Jimin protested. Jungkook wondered who they were talking about. “By the way, Jungkook-ah, Kim Yoo-jung is the same age as you,” Hobi said, wrapping an arm around him.

Jungkook had heard that name somewhere before, but he couldn’t remember where.

.

.

.

.

Right now, everyone was busy talking. Jimin, Tae, Jungkook, and Namjoon stood together, while Jin, Yoongi, and Hobi were talking to their seniors. Hyunwoo and Kim were speaking with their friends.

Tae held Jungkook’s hand the entire time, not letting go even for a second. Tae suddenly noticed someone in the crowd.

“Jungkook-ah, wanna see Yoo-jung?” Tae asked. Jungkook gave a hesitant, confused nod.

Tae glanced at Jimin and signaled something. “joonie hyung, we’ll go bring Yoo-jung,” Jimin said. “Okay, but don’t do anything stupid, alright?” Namjoon warned. Tae and Jimin nodded in unison, but with a smirk.

The three walked toward Yoo-jung, who was standing with her back to them, talking to someone. She was wearing a gorgeous pink dress, her hair flowing down her back.

QUICK INTRODUCTION

Jeon Yoo-jung, 19 year old, gonna join the university. Daughter of Jeon seonha and Jeon Minho.

Jungkook’s eyes wide in curiosity. Jimin moved closer while the others watched him. He signaled them to stay quiet. He stepped right behind her and suddenly shouted,

“BOOM!” Right into her ears.

“Ahhhh!” Yoo-jung screamed, flinching and squeezing her eyes shut. When she opened them again, she heard a familiar laugh. Her scared expression turned into disbelief.

She turned around and saw Jimin laughing. “Ahhhh, oppa!” Yoo-jung whined, playfully hitting him.

“Hahaha, look at your face! So scared!” Jimin laughed hard. She fake-glared at him, then turned to see Tae standing there with the same laughing expression.

“Oh my, our little troublemaker is still scared, huh?” Tae teased. “I’m going to kill you both,” Yoo-jung said, whining as she fake-glared again. Jimin chuckled and side-hugged her. “How are you, little champ?” he asked softly.

“Fine, until you came,” Yoo-jung replied, suppressing her laugh. “Aww, our little champ is angry with us,” Tae commented.

Meanwhile, Jungkook was lost, staring at Yoo-jung. He remembered her.

She was the one, the girl who had silently comforted him when he was crying. “Oh… oppa!” Yoo-jung suddenly called, pointing at Jungkook.

Jungkook snapped out of his thoughts, mentally cursing himself for lying that day. “Oppa? You know him?” Tae asked, looking at Yoo-jung.

“Nae! I know him! Once I met him in the park, he was—–” Yoo-jung started, but she was cut off.

“We met once,” Jungkook said quickly, giving a sheepish smile.

Tae and Jimin looked at each other, confused. Yoo-jung looked at Jungkook with puzzled eyes but didn’t say anything. “But why are you calling him oppa?” Jimin asked.

“Because he said he’s twenty-three,” Yoo-jung replied, dumbfounded. Tae and Jimin burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, Jungkook was completely flustered and embarrassed.
“Hahahahaha! Before you even met us, he already pranked you! That’s my boy!” Tae said, patting Jungkook’s shoulder.

“Huh?” Yoo-jung asked, confused.

“He’s the same age as you, just two months older, pabo!” Jimin said chuckling.

Yoo-jung looked at Jungkook with a betrayed expression. Jungkook couldn’t help but chuckle at her dumbfounded, confused face.

“He’s Jungkook. Remember?” Tae asked. “Y-you are Jungkook?” Yoo-jung asked, clearly shocked. Jungkook nodded.

“Ahhh, you three are so mean!” Yoo-jung huffed.

“What are you going to do? Go to Jin hyung and complain about us?” Tae teased.

“No. I’m going to Yoongi oppa! He’ll give you three some good smacks!” Yoo-jung declared and walked toward Yoongi and Jin. “We are cooked” jimin said looking at tae.

Meanwhile yoojung approached Jin and yoongi and hobi, “Ohhh, Yoo-jungah!” Jin called out with a smile. Yoongi and Hobi smiled too. Namjoon, who noticed the commotion, walked toward them as well. Yoo-jung smiled brightly.

Jin engulfed her in a warm hug. “How are you, Yoo-jungah?” he asked softly, caressing her hair.

“Fine… until your maknaes came!” Yoo-jung huffed.

The hyung line sighed as they saw the maknaes approaching. “Yoongi oppa! Warn your sweet maknaes not to prank me or irritate me for at least once!” Yoo-jung said, clearly sulking.

“You both already started. Why are you always troubling my princess, huh?” Yoongi asked. Tae and Jimin clutched their chests dramatically, as if struck by a sword.

Jungkook, now standing near Jin and Hobi, chuckled at their misery. Their playful fights continued, the seven brothers laughing and teasing together. The whole scene felt warm… whole… like a family moment frozen in time.

Meanwhile, with Kim

Kim was speaking with Seonha and Minho.

“Didn’t Haein come?” Seonha asked. “Ani. She went on a two-day business trip to Germany,” Kim replied.nSeonha nodded.

“By the way, how many years are you planning to live in the US?” Kim asked.

“Probably five years. Yoo-jung also wants to continue her studies there,” Minho said. “Hm… good,” Kim replied, sipping his drink.

“How is Jungkook?” Minho asked, glancing toward Jungkook, who was laughing brightly with his brothers. “Good,” Kim said.

Hyunwoo, who overheard, mentally cursed Kim. “What about his health?” Minho asked. Seonha listened quietly.

“Good. Sometimes he faints or gets headaches,” Kim replied casually. “It’s so sad for him to suffer this much at such a young age,” Seonha said.

Something stirred inside Kim. His fist clenched slightly. “Any leads?” Minho asked. Kim shook his head.

His eyes drifted to Jungkook again, smiling, laughing, alive in that moment. “He looks just like unnie,” Seonha said softly. “He does. From the day he was born, he looked like her,” Kim said calmly, voice felt warm.

“Does he remember anything?” Minho asked. Kim shook his head.

“Is he getting comfortable with his brothers?” Seonha asked. “Yeah. All good,” Hyunwoo replied.

.

.

.

.

It had been hours since the event started. Slowly, one by one, people began to leave.

Jungkook was standing beside Kim, speaking to some of his business partners.

“What are you going to do in the future?” one old tall man asked. Before Jungkook could answer, Kim spoke. “Of course, he is going to join Bangtan.”

Jungkook clenched his fists in anger. The way his father controlled him made his blood boil. “How is your health?” the man asked.

“G-good,” Jungkook replied quietly, forcing a smile. The man smiled back. “You look just like your mother. You resemble her a lot, kid. Isn’t that right, Yoonseong?” he asked. Kim nodded with a smile.

“After her death… everything changed. She was the sweetest,” the man continued. Kim’s smile slowly faded.

“She cared for everyone like they were the most important people in her life. And how much you both suffered during his birth… for his survival. It still makes us feel sorry for you,” the man said.

Jungkook looked at his father, confused. The old man turned to Jungkook and gently caressed his hair. “You are really precious to them, kid. So don’t ever worry your appa,” he said.

Kim stood there without any emotion. His hands clenched tightly. He looked at Jungkook, his once soft eyes now filled with nothing but anger. He was glaring at Jungkook.

Jungkook noticed it. A shiver ran down his spine. Kim didn’t say anything and simply walked away.

Jungkook sighed and walked toward a chair, sitting down silently. Then he heard voices nearby.

“Did you see the Kim family? The youngest Kim… the rumors about him. That he is the reason for Yoona’s death. Literally half of Korea knows about this.”

Jungkook heard everything. His head began to throb painfully.

“What the fuck did I even do?” Jungkook questioned himself, trying to remember something, anything related to Yoona.

The more he tried, the stronger the headache came, crashing in waves. He felt like he couldn’t breathe.

“You are a killer!”

“You killed Suho!”

“You killed Yoona!”

“You killed your Hyesuk eomma!”

“You are a curse!”

“After you were born, everything went wrong!”

“I regret you!”

The voices echoed in his head. His breathing grew heavier. He looked around. There were fewer people now, only a feq remained. He didn’t want anyone’s attention.

He took the benzo pills from his pocket and took one, hee walked to a table, grabbed a water bottle, and drank it down with the pill. Sweat covered his forehead.

He stood there for a few minutes, trying to calm himself. Suddenly, he got startled when he heard someone calling him. “Hey, Jungkook!” It was Yoojung.

He looked at her, eyes tired, lips pale, face drenched in sweat, “Y-you okay?” she asked, concern evident in her voice.

Jungkook nodded. “Are you sure? You look so distressed,” she said softly. “I’m fine,” he replied calmly.

She noticed the sweat on his face and handed him the handkerchief she was holding, “Here, your face is full of sweat,” she said.

Jungkook sighed and took it, wiping his face roughly. “Why are you sweating this much?” Yoojung asked.

Jungkook didn’t respond. He simply turned and walked away. “Ahhh, such a meanie, just like his tae hyung” Yoojung mumbled.

She walked over to Jin and Yoongi, who were speaking to someone. She tugged at Jin’s sleeve, gaining his attention.

“What is it, Yoojung-ah?” Jin asked softly.

“Jungkook… he looked really tired, and he was sweating a lot. I think you should check on him,” Yoojung said.

The very next moment, Jin walked toward Jungkook. Yoongi watched them, confused.

Jin held Jungkook’s hand to get his attention. Jungkook flinched at the sudden touch but relaxed when he saw it was Jin. He didn’t say anything. He didn’t want to. “Let’s go home,” Jin said softly.

Jungkook hummed in response. Jin held Jungkook’s hand and walked toward Yoongi. “What happened, hyung?” Yoongi asked, concern lacing his voice.

“He looks tired. I’ll take him home. You take Tae with you, alright? Let him stay with you tonight,” Jin said.

Yoongi nodded and looked at Jungkook, who was staring down at the floor.

“Hey, Kook,” Yoongi called softly.

Jungkook looked up. “Nae, hyung?”

“Go and get some rest, alright?” Yoongi said gently, caressing his hair.

Jungkook gave a tiny nod.

Jin turned to Yoojung. “Okay, I’ll leave now, Yoojung-ah. Take care, hmm?” he said.

Yoojung nodded with a smile. “Take care, oppa. I’ll miss you… just a little,” she teased.

Jin laughed. “Alright, bye-bye,” he said, waving at her.

Jin and Jungkook were in the car.

Jungkook sat beside Jin, already dozing off under the effect of the pill he had taken earlier. Jin drove quietly, glancing at him now and then.

“Jungkook-ah… you okay, bun?” Jin asked softly, worry lacing his voice., “Hyung… I’m sorry,” Jungkook mumbled, clearly not in his senses.

“Huh? Why are you sorry, baby?” Jin asked gently. Jungkook didn’t answer.

Jin looked at him, half-asleep, head tilted slightly to the side. He sighed and caressed his hair, patting it gently while driving.

What happened to you, Kook-ah? Jin wondered.

Soon, they reached home. “Jungkook-ah, we’re home. Wake up, let’s go,” Jin called. No response.

Jin placed his hand on Jungkook’s forehead, checking for a fever, but there was none. Instead, his skin felt cold. Too cold.

“Baby… you’re so cold,” Jin whispered. Still no response. Not even a stir

That made a shiver ran through Jin.

“Hey, Kook! Look at me,” Jin said urgently, voice full of panic, patting his cheeks. Jungkook whimpered softly in his sleep.

Jin let out a shaky breath of relief. For a moment, he thought he had lost his maknae.

Carefully, Jin picked Jungkook up and carried him to his room. He laid him gently on the bed. Jungkook mumbled something under his breath, incoherent and weak.

Jin’s worry deepened. “Hey, Kook, wake up,” Jin called softly. No response. “Hey, bunny… it’s hyung. Please open your eyes,” Jin pleaded.

Still nothing, only faint whimpers. Jin held Jungkook’s hand, rubbing it gently to warm him. He slowly removed his coat; Jungkook whimpered at the touch.

As the coat slipped off, something fell to the floor. Jin froze. He looked down. A pill box.

Jin kneeled and picked it up, staring at it in confusion. His eyes flicked back to Jungkook, who was still shivering faintly.

Setting the pills aside, Jin grabbed a blanket and covered him carefully. He turned on the heater. Slowly, Jungkook seemed to relax, his breathing evening out just a little.

But Jin’s heart remained heavy. Something was very, very wrong.

“Hyung…” Jungkook called lazily in his sleep. Jin immediately hummed in response. “Yes, baby. I’m here. Hyungie is with you,” he said softly, sitting closer.

“I’m sorry,” Jungkook whispered, slowly opening his eyes. They were bloodshot, unfocused.

Jin’s heart softened. “Why are you sorry, bun?” he asked gently.

Jungkook’s doe eyes filled with tears. His lips trembled. “I… I am a killer,” Jungkook said brokenly. Jin froze.

His heart clenched painfully. “W-what the hell are you saying?” Jin asked, panic slipping into his voice. “You’re not! You are not, Kook. Just sleep, okay?” he said quickly, trying to calm him.

Jungkook shook his head weakly.

“Appa said… Appa said I killed everyone,” he cried. “I killed everyone… I killed them…”

Tears streamed down his face. His voice was slurred, heavy with drowsiness, not fully conscious, words spilling without control.

Jin’s chest tightened unbearably. “No. No, you didn’t,” Jin said firmly, cupping his face. “You’re not a killer, Jungkook. No one said that. You hear me?” he tried to assure him, though his own hands trembled.

Why… why would he even think this? Jin’s mind screamed. Jungkook shook his head again, eyes fluttering shut.

“Just sleep, okay? We’ll talk tomorrow,” Jin said softly, brushing his hair back. Jungkook didn’t respond. Jin stayed there, staring at him, fear settling deep in his chest.

Something happened. Something really happened. Jin turned and picked up the pill box that had fallen earlier.

Benzos. He had heard of them. He knew the name, but not why Jungkook was taking them. His breath hitched. Sowly, Jin opened the box.

Only a few pills were left. Which meant… many had already been taken.

Jin swallowed hard, forcing himself to stay calm. Stay calm. You have to stay calm.

With shaky fingers, he took out his phone. He needed answers. He needed help. He called Hobi. Hobi would know. He had to.

After a few rings, the call connected. Jin quietly walked out to the balcony, closing the door behind him, leaving Jungkook sleeping inside, unaware of the storm now raging in his hyung’s heart.

“Yo, hyung!” Hobi’s voice came cheerful as usual. “Where are you, Hobi?” Jin asked, voice calm but tense.

“In my room at home, why?” Hobi replied. “J-just asking. Can you tell me… for what… the b-benzos are used?” Jin asked, voice trembling with hesitation.

He hoped it was nothing, just some vitamin pill. He glanced at Jungkook through the glass, his heart tightening.

“Benzos?” Hobi asked, his warm voice shifting to a serious tone. “Yeah… it’s nothing, right?” Jin pressed, hoping for a reassuring yes.

“Hyung… I don’t know why you’re asking this, but… it’s a pill for severe anxiety and insomnia,” Hobi said. Jin’s breath hitched.

“S-severe anxiety and insomnia?” Jin repeated, voice barely a whisper.

“Nae. I only recommend this to my patients who are severely traumatized. Those who use it are going through serious emotional pain. And… I don’t really prescribe it often,” Hobi explained, voice filled with nothing but gravity. He wasn’t the cheerful Hobi now, but the doctor hoseok, calm, serious, professional.

“Why?” Jin asked, his voice shaking.

“Because it has consequences. Vomiting, fatigue, sometimes fever, headaches… it can cause memory lapse Sometimes they will be lost in their own world willed fil panic and anxiety. And they can become addicted. If it’s taken regularly, it’s extremely difficult to stop. It’s like a rose with thorns. There are benefits, yes, but also dangerous side effects. But… hyung, why are you asking all this?” Hobi asked.

Jin couldn’t speak. His chest tightened, and words failed him.

“W-what will happen if it’s taken regularly… every day? The pill box is almost empty… what will happen?” Jin asked, voice firm, cold, dangerous.

“Hyung… why are you asking this?” Hobi began, but Jin cut him off.

“Just answer the question.” it was order. It screamed dangerous authority.

“It can harm the mental state. It’ll make the person drown in anxiety. They’ll become dependent. Even skipping a single dose will make them miserable. It’s basically like a drug, they can get addicted. In rare cases, overdose can cause death. But hyung… why the hell are you asking these… stupid questions?” Hobi’s voice was full of concern and confusion.

Jin who heard all this, felt his tears falling. His kook took those. His Jungkook took all those.

“Ho-Hobi…” Jin muttered, voice shaking. Tears began to fall. “Hyung… what happened?” Hobi asked, panic creeping in.

“H-Hobi… he takes this! And… and I didn’t even notice…” Jin’s voice trembled.

“Hyung… who?” Hobi asked, sensing the panic.

“h-hoba, my J-jungkookie… he… he has…” Jin couldn’t finish. He sank to the railing, gripping it, his whole body shaking.

Hobi gasped, pure horror in his voice. “Hyung… Jungkook took that?”

Jin didn’t answer, only the sound of shaky sniffles escaped him., “It’s not true… it can’t be… hyung, are you serious? He… he took those?” Hobi asked, voice cracking.

Jin swallowed hard, his voice breaking. “H… he was so tired. He looked drowsy… kept mumbling ‘sorry,’ saying he killed someone… he said he was a killer. I don’t know what the hell that means. And… when I touched him, he was literally freezing. So cold. Cold sweats everywhere.”

“Hyung… is he still cold?” Hobi asked urgently.

“N-nae… a little. I wrapped him in the duvet,” Jin said, voice trembling.

“Hyung, I’m coming over. Don’t worry, I’ll be there soon. But for now, stay calm. Keep rubbing his hands and legs, let the air flow around him… just stay with him. Don’t panic, I’ll be there, alright?” Hobi said firmly.

“Nae,” Jin whispered, his voice broken. He hung up, staring at Jungkook’s sleeping form, heart pounding in terror and helplessness.

Jin wiped his tears and slowly walked to his brother. Even in sleep, Jungkook’s face carried distress, a silent storm that made Jin’s chest tighten.

His mind was foggy, he didn’t fully understand what had happened or what was happening now.

He removed his coat and tie, placing them carefully on the desk, then sat beside Jungkook. Jin took his brother’s hand in his own, rubbing it gently, alternating between both hands. Jungkook whimpered softly in his sleep, and Jin noticed the cold sweat forming on his face and neck.

With careful hands, Jin unclasped the tie and loosened the collar of Jungkook’s shirt. Something caught his eye, something hidden beneath the fabric. A necklace.

Jin’s eyes sharpened as recognition hit him like a bolt. It was far too familiar. He gently lifted the chain, his calm mask cracking as shock spread through him. His breath hitched. His body shook, goosebumps prickling his skin.

It was the same necklace he had personally customized and gifted to his Suho hyungie for his birthday. It was the same.

It was HIS Suho hyungie’s necklace.

“H-how?” Jin muttered, his voice trembling. He looked at Jungkook, at the boy who was sleeping yet carrying so much pain, had his hyung’s necklace. How the hell he have this?

The room was silent, the only sound Jungkook’s soft breathing, but Jin’s mind raced. Questions, fears, and unease swirled.
