Chapter 20

Kelly’s POV

I was in the Dennis’s bungalow. The funeral was going on. Everyone was giving their last speech for Mr. Carter. It was very sad that Dennis lost his father. I was too sad. I went to his study room to search something so that I can find why he was killed. What was the reason to kill him. When I searched I found his cell lying on the study table. I thought to check his cell. I saw the last call and I was shocked, the last call was to my father but why? How? They know each other? From when do they know each. I was tensed as Mr. Carter was murdered, is next is my father. But why would she do that? I was confused but to clerify all my doubts I have to ask my father about it. I took the cell with me and went to see where Dennis is. He was in his room.

“Hey! Are you okay? ” I asked to comfort him.

“How could I be okay? My Dad is no more and my Mom is devastated with his death. How will I manage my life now? My sister she is too small for this loss. Yesterday was my sister’s birthday and on that day only my Dad. I can’t event imagine.” He said this and hugged me. He was in pain and I know how this pain is, I hugged him tightly so that he feels better. His eyes were wet.
” You will always be there with me na?” he asked while hugging.

“Ofcourse I’ll” I replied.

After 2 hour talking and comforting him I went to my house as now I have to figure out some stuff related to all the things happened since last month. As soon as I reached I asked nany

“Where is Dad? Did he come?

“No sweetheart he didn’t reached till now.” Nany replied from the dining.

“Okay, can you please inform me when he comes as I have something urgent to discuss” I insist.

“What happen sweetheart is everything okay?” nany asked with a tensed voice.

“Ya okay just some school stuff” I lied as I don’t wanna discuss with her about all this. By replying I went to my room. Within 10 mints I fresh-and-up and took my laptop and sat on the bed. I googled Janette Bell so that till my Dad comes I gather something more about her. It should be there if the case had came in the newspaper. It shows that she was a well known architecture and a very good and friendly lady. She architect many bungalows of the city including the one I’m living and the Dennis’s bungalow. So the bungalows are bit similar. There also was written that 1 yr back there was a big fight between Mr. Carter and Janette for some personal issues for which she committed suicide. Mr. Carter was also a well personality as he was the Deputy Commissioner of the region. While searching this stuff a voice comes to my ear
