Chapter 22

While searching this stuff a voice came “Kelly” from back. “Kelly whats the matter dear you called me. Nany told. Is everything okay?” My dad asked. His voice sound bit tensed.

“No Dad its not okay. First you say me one thing do you know Mr. Joseph Carter.” I asked and as soon as I took his name his face was red. As if he don’t want to let anybody know about something.

“No I don’t know him. Who is he?” he replied. I was shock hearing this, why he lied to me. He was talking with him last night and now he is saying he don’t know him. Whats happening don’t have any idea. “Dad he was the Deputy Commissioner, who was murdered last night.” I replied and confirmed.

“Okay” he replied. “Dad you really don’t know him than why he called you last night” I asked. I was pretty much sure that he will not tell me the truth and I was right he didn’t. He went without answering to my question. I was blank as I have no idea what to do next. I closed my eyes and rewind all the things happened with me since last month. One thing was sure that there was a link between Mr. Carter, Janette and my Dad. I checked Mr. Carter’s cellphone once again to look whether something is there or not but there was nothing specific which can help me to find out the truth. So leaving all aside I decided to go to sleep.

I was in my dream… I saw a lady in a corner, I went closer to see who she is. She was my Mom. She was looking beautiful but was bit upset. I asked her “Whats the matter mom? Why are you looking upset? There is so much to tell you. I miss you so much”

“Sweetheart I’m always there with you but you are in a wrong direction. Don’t proceed to this direction, you will be hurt badly and there will be no one to console you” Mom replied with a depressed tone.

“Mom you know the truth. Say me na I can handle anything, if I can handle the pain to loose you than its not difficult for me to handle anything else. Mom I have no idea how to find out the truth, please help me by giving any hint. Please mom” I replied. As soon as I replied I was awake. It was 3 am I was thirsty and the bottle that I kept was empty so I thought to go to the kitchen. My legs were shivering as it was third time I was got up at 3 am. But still with a courage I was heading towards the kitchen. While going to the kitchen I heard something which was really shocking for me. I saw something which I had never thought of. It was beyond my expectation.
